This was the layout for the 2015 PHIT Camp Garden grown at the WRAC. Planted was: peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, strawberries, pole beans, and a variety of herbs.
PHIT Camp is a summer youth program held at the WRAC that is geared toward teaching children the value of physical activity and healthy eating habits. The children participate in high energy activities, help prepare a midday meal, and learn creative activities. Produce from the garden is used in the midday meal.
2015 is the second successful year of this program. Look for our layout for the 2016 PHIT Camp Garden early next year.
