Use membrane around onions to help prevent weeds Get onion stakes Covered top manure bed 7/11 to do a controlled test :-) I was higher than bed on LHS Seeds 3 Broad Beans http://www.sundaygardener.co.uk/the_sunday_gardeners_blog/read_53600/planting-broad-beans.html http://www.harvesttotable.com/2009/03/how_to_grow_broad_beans/ 4 French Beans http://glallotments.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/full-of-beans.html 5 I have - SmartSeeds - Rainbow Beet Root Collection Seeds - Broad Beans ( Fava ) - Bloomsdale Spinach - Dinosaure Kale - Scarlet Scallions ( use these instead of the Shallots ) - Glass Gem Corn - Rainbow Carrot Mix ( Grow in potato bag close to greenhouse ) - Baby Lettice Mix ( Grow in salmon boxes ) - Dwarf Half Pint Pea ( can be grown in pots in greenhouse ) - Purple Podded Peas ( could these be grown down RHS ... check width and height & spread ? ) Hints & Tips 6 when sowing carrots in rows alternate with Radish seeds, this helps identify where you planted the carrots as they are slow growing Start lettuce in the greenhounse in late feb - and plant out at 4-6 weeks old ... just take outer leaves when picking I could also start ( in a bed ) pea plant shallots beetroot spring onion and cover with fleece ? You can mix flowers and veg to confuse the pests & preditors - example some companion planting Marigolds with Tomatoes Cosmos Poached Egg plant between some veg ( its dense growth will help prevent weeds ) . Single petal ring petalflowers have more pollum than say pompom dalahias wooden sides can cause slugs - make boundries !!!! YOu shouldnt grow root veg in pots then plant on as it affect the longer Tap Root in carrots & parsnips. Plant types of hellium and estranstia monada and pestiumns in frontm borders Origano Lavander and Borage pull in lady birds Plant nastrusiums and calandula in pots - these pull afids away from your crops
