About this Garden Plan
'The Plot Thickens' - is our first community garden plot in Toronto. Since we were only granted posession a couple of weeks ago it's going in late this year, which means not all of this plan can be executed. Varieties will need to be substituted since it's too late to start most from seed and we'll need to purchase sets of what's available now. We plan to amend the soil this year and plant a cover crop this fall. The plan is to build a break-down cold frame at the north end of the garden for hardening off seeds started in our basement next spring. Hopefully the irrigation system will be in shortly after it's planted, but the raised beds will have to wait until the fall.
