Plan Notes

This is the start of a four bed rotation with accompanying companion flowers e.g. marigold/borage and some perennial herbs in containers ( mint, lemon balm in separate containers and mediteranean herbs in the central octaginal planter. The vegetable plants have been chosen to illustrate different plant families and also companion planting - e.g. planting carrots and onions together deters carrot fly. Also chosen to allow some Autumn planting - currently no brassicas but these could be introduced on a succession basis. It is too late to plant squash/ tomatoes etc so crops such as Winter lettuce or a green manure could be planted for immediate coverage.
